Christopher's First Slumber Party

This is the beginning of a series of posts where we'll attempt to get everyone caught up with what's been going on in our lives. Needless to say, it's much harder to find time to update the blog (or do laundry, go to work, eat, sleep, etc.) now that Kaela is home, and we have to deal with all of the needs of a newborn in addition to the crazy monkey boy (a.k.a., Christopher).

We had a really fun evening last night. Christopher had his first sleepover! Sunny Roan came over around 4 pm and we got to play all evening and then she spent the night. Christopher and Sunny had a blast together. Here are some fun pictures from the evening.

With two adorable subjects, Andy and I couldn't resist snapping a few pictures in the studio. Christopher and Sunny had fun climbing all over the stool and each other. They're both so photogenic and LOVE to smile for the camera.

Beautiful Sunny Roan

"This is fun!"

Usually it's Sunny playing with Christopher's hair...guess he thought he'd play with hers while he had a chance!

Two precious kiddies! We love them kabisa!

Coloring at the table in the playroom.

They even slept in the same room! I didn't think that would work very well, but it was great. Sunny went right to sleep, even with Christopher protesting loudly about having to stop playing and go to bed. After we left the room, Christopher stayed up until 10 pm talking AT Sunny, who slept through it all. Andy and I were downstairs cracking up and listening to him: "Hi, Sunny! HI, SUNNY! SUNNY! I see you, Sunny. Sunny sleeping. Christopher not sleeping. Christopher in crib. Sunny in crib. Hi, Sunny!" For two hours! Amazing child - and definitely his father's son - talk talk talk talk... ;)

They played happily in Christopher's crib so I could take a quick shower in the morning.

For breakfast, we made pancakes! Mmm...delicious. AND...

...they were ELMO pancakes. Christopher was SO EXCITED! He LOVES Elmo.

"It's Elmo, Mommy!"

Sunny stayed with us until after lunch, when her Mommy took her home. It was so much fun. We can't wait to do it again.
